The Layout and Copy Editor ensures that all accepted manuscripts meet the journal’s editorial, linguistic, and formatting standards before publication. Responsibilities include:

  • Editing text for grammar, clarity, punctuation, and consistency in academic tone

  • Ensuring adherence to the journal’s citation and referencing style (APA 7)

  • Formatting manuscripts into the official journal layout and applying visual standards

  • Embedding figures, tables, and images correctly

  • Preparing final versions of articles for online and print publication

  • Collaborating with authors and the editorial team to finalise proofs and maintain production quality.
