  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • All manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • Submit via the journal portal: https://sbsijbtefpa.com/submissions


2. Manuscript Format

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

  • Justification: Fully justified

  • Page numbers: Bottom right corner


3. Structure of Manuscript

Manuscripts should follow this format:

  1. Title: Concise and descriptive (max. 20 words)

  2. Author Information: Full name, affiliation, email, ORCID iD (if available)

  3. Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

  4. Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review

  7. Methodology

  8. Results/Findings

  9. Discussion

  10. Conclusion and Recommendations

  11. References

  12. Appendices (if any)

  13. Declaration of Conflict of Interest


4. Referencing Style

IJBTE uses the APA (7th Edition) referencing style. All in-text citations and reference lists must adhere to this standard.

7. Plagiarism Policy

  • Submissions must be free of plagiarism and will be screened using Turnitin.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be returned for correction or rejected outright.


8. Review and Publication Process

  • Initial Screening: Editorial check for scope, formatting, and plagiarism.

  • Peer Review: Double-blind review by at least two reviewers.

  • Decision: Accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

  • Publication: Articles are published in the next available issue following acceptance.


9. Additional Notes

  • Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and placed within the body text.

  • Use footnotes sparingly and only where necessary.

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material.
